Easy strip steak made delicous and festive for the holiday season.

Ingredients

Strip Steak:

  • 2 1 lbs strip steaks, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Pomegranate Sauce:

  • 1 cup Pomegranate juice
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup Pomegranate arils, plus more for serving
  • Fresh herbs, for serving
  • (1) 20 oz package Main St Bistro® Scalloped Potatoes

Instructions

  1. Pat strip steaks dry. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter and steaks and sear for 3 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature of the steak reaches 130F. Set steak aside to rest.
  3. Add pomegranate juice, balsamic vinegar, unsalted butter, and beef broth to the skillet over medium heat. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes, until thickened. Add pomegranate arils.
  4. Slice strip steaks. Top with pomegranate sauce and serve with additional pomegranate arils and fresh herbs. Serve with Main St Bistro Baked Scalloped Potatoes.
